I like the colors and the design looks quite original too. I think the background images would look better if they were less blurry (and the same probably goes for the header, like ~ Agati0 said). The blurriness creates an impression of low quality when it comes to photos. Those lines aren't too distractive, but not really needed either.

I think a justified alignment for the text would be the best, though left would probably be better than right. I'd probably use a different font for the body text, probably Verdana or Georgia. I'd also place the navbar higher on the page.
